WHAT DO YOU HOPE FOR IN THE NEXT ABODE…JANNAT OR JAHANAM? Part 4

The Day of Resurrection for the Faithful: Part 4

B i s m i l l a h i R a h m a n i R o h e e m

All praise is due to Allah, May peace and blessings be upon the Messenger, sallah Allah alaihi wa salaam, his household and companions.

Allah forgives whom He wishes and Punish whom He wishes. It is by His Might we have lived to witness this moment and we ask Him with His Mightiness to continue to shower His Blessings upon our Noble Prophet Muhammad (SAW) his household, his wives, his companions and those who follow his footsteps and teaches it, till the Day of Accountability. Ameen

Allah so much Love the world; that He Sent down Hundreds of Prophets and Made Muhammad (SAW), the Seal and end to Prophethood.Allah Sent down four prominent Holy Books and Made the Qur’an the Noblest and Model to them all.

He Creates Human beings and Gives them Authority over other creatures. He Gives us Islam as a way of Life to prevail over other Man-made religion and he who follows Islam shall prosper and be saved on the Day of Judgement.

Allah is the Creator that does not have any creator of HIMSELF; Allah Created every things in pairs including the creation of Shaytan (May the Wrath of Allah Be Upon him) that mis-lead and He created the prophets that lead to the Right cause (May Allah Be Pleased with them all). The Light of Allah, all attributes of Allah exist before man was created; Allah Has knowledge of all things and Has power over every thing.

“Do you not know that Allah knows what is in the heaven and earth? Indeed, that is in a Record. Indeed that, for Allah, is easy”. Q22:70

The Greatest thing Allah Has done for man is that; He Gives us intellect; thought and freewill but as a Test. He who makes use of them shall prosper in this world and in the hereafter. You should make difference between certain things and by so doing; you can make a way out in getting closer to know how well to prepare for the next Abode.

Success comes to those who become success conscious and failure comes to those who indifferently allows themselves to become failure conscious. The longer you work in the right direction, the closer you are to success and whatever the mind can conceive and believe; it can achieve.

Allah Has created us to feed our bodies, grow up and eventually die; then Death is not the issue but the cause you have LIVED and DIED for, is the most important on the Day of Judgement.

This day no one has knowledge of its specific hour, time or day, a Day which is described by Allah as:

“That Day shall a man flee from his own brother, and from his mother, and his father, And from his wife and his children, Each one of them, that Day, will have enough concern (of his own) to make him indifferent to the others.” Q80:34-37

Even those who were nearest and dearest in this life will not be able or willing to help each other on that awful Day. On the contrary, if they have to receive a sentence for their sins, they will be anxious to avoid even sharing each others' sorrows or witnessing each others'humiliation; for each will have enough of his own troubles to occupy him.

On the other hand, the Righteous will be united with their righteous families; and their faces will be "beaming, laughing, rejoicing".

No friend will ask after a friend that Day. On the contrary the sinner will desire to save himself at the expense even of his own family and benefactors.

The Hour of Resurrection will be a terrifying, overwhelming event. Yet, despite its trauma, the believer will be delighted, just as Prophet Muhammad (SAW), related from his Lord:

“Allah says, “By My Glory and Majesty, I will not give My slave two securities and two terrors. If he feels secure from Me in the world, I will instill fear in him on the Day when I gather My slaves together; and if he fears Me in the world, I will make him feel safe on the Day when I gather My slaves together.” (Hadith sahih)

“Behold! Verily on the friends of Allah there is no fear, nor shall they grieve; those who believe and (constantly) guard against evil; for them are Glad Tidings, in the life of the Present and in the Hereafter; no change can there be in the Words of Allah. This is indeed the supreme Felicity.Q10:62-64

Allah's all-embracing knowledge and constant watchful care over all His creatures, may be a source of fear to sinners, but there is no fear for those whom He honours with His love and friendship,-neither in this world nor in the world to come.

When all mankind gathered and stand naked and uncircumcised on a great plain under the ferocious scorching heat of the Sun, an elite group of pious men and women will be shaded under the Throne of God. The Prophet Muhammad foretold just who these fortunate souls will be, they are:

• a just ruler who did not abuse his power, but established divinely revealed justice among people
• a young man who grew up worshipping his Lord and controlled his desires in order to remain chaste
• those who hearts were attached to the Mosques, longing to return every time they left them
• those who loved one another for God’s sake
• those who were tempted by seductively beautiful women, but their fear of God stopped them from sinning
• the one who spent in charity sincerely for God’s sake, keeping their charity secret
• the one who wept out of Allah’s fear in solitude
Specific acts of worship will also keep people safe on that day, namely:
• efforts in this world to relieve the woes of the distressed, to help the needy, and to overlook the mistakes of others will relieve people’s own distress on Judgment Day
• leniency shown to the indebted
• the just who are fair to their families and matters entrusted to them
• controlling anger
• whoever calls to prayer
• growing old while in a state of Islam
• performing ritual ablution (wudhu’) regularly and properly
• those who fight alongside Jesus son of Mary against the Anti-Christ and his army
• martyrdom

Allah will bring the believer close to Him, shelter him, cover him, and ask him about his sins. After acknowledging his sins he will believe he is doomed, but Allah will say:

“I concealed it for you in the world, and I forgive it for you this Day.” He will be rebuked for his shortcomings, but will then be handed his record of good deeds in his right hand. (Sahih Bukhari).

A sign that they are from the inhabitants of Paradise, as opposed to those who will be given their record of deeds in their left hands or behind their backs.
Allah Says in the Quran:

“Then he who is given his Record in his Right hand, soon will his account be taken by an easy reckoning” Q84:7-8

Then the fortunate ones, who spent their lives in goodness and truth: for them the account will be made easy; for even after the balancing, they will receive more than their merits deserve, on account of the infinite grace, and mercy of Allah.

And they will be happy as said in the Qu'ran:

“Then He that will be given his Record in his right hand will say: "Ah here! Read ye my Record! "I did really understand that my Account would (one Day) reach me!" And he will be in a life of Bliss, In a Garden on high, the fruits whereof (will hang in bunches) low and near. "Eat ye and drink ye, with full satisfaction; because of the (good) that ye sent before you in the days that are gone!” Q69:19-24

The righteous are described as those who are given their record in their right hand at Judgment, and other passages, the righteous are called "Companions of the Right Hand".

The righteous one rejoices that the faith he had during this world's life was fully justified, and is now actually realized before him. He quite understood and believed that good and evil must meet with their due consequences in the Hereafter, however much appearances may have been against it in the life in the lower world, "in the days that are gone”.

The description is that of ripe, luscious grapes, hanging low in heavy bunches, so near that they could be gathered and enjoyed in dignified ease. It will be a wholly new world, a new Earth and a new Heaven, when the blessed might well think with calm relief of the days that are gone. Even Time and Space will be no more, so that any ideas that we may form here will be found to have become wholly obsolete by then.

The record of good deeds will then be weighed, accurately, to determine whether it outweighs the person’s record of bad deeds, and so that reward or punishment be meted out accordingly.

The believers will quench their thirst from a special reservoir dedicated to the Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Whoever drinks from it shall never experience thirst again. Its beauty, immenseness, and sweet, fine taste have been described in detail by the Prophet.

The believers in Islam; the sinful amongst them and the pious, as well as the hypocrites will be left in the great plain after the unbelievers are driven to Hell. A long bridge traversing the Hellfire and engulfed in darkness will separate them from Paradise. The faithful will take strength and comfort in their swift crossing over the roaring fires of Hell and in the ‘light’ that Allah will place in front of them, guiding them to their eternal home.

Allah Says: “One Day shalt thou see the believing men and the believing women how their Light runs forward before them and by their right hands; (their greeting will be): "Good News for you this Day! Gardens beneath which flow rivers! To dwell therein for aye! This is indeed the highest Achievement!" Q57:12.

In the Darkness of the Day of Judgment there will be a Light to guide the righteous to their Destination. This will be the Light of their Faith and their Good Works; for the Blessed will receive their Record in their right hand. The highest achievement, the highest felicity, the attainment of Salvation, the fulfillment of all desires.

Finally, after crossing the bridge, the faithful will be purified before they are entered into Paradise. All scores between believers will be settled so that no one man nurses a grudge against another.

“Allahumma inni ala Zikrika wa Shukrika wa husni ibadatika”

It easier said than done, please for Allah sake, do pray for me and my family and extends the Dua to my love ones and you; that we all should live successful in this world and become products of Greatness in the Hereafter…Ameen.

Alahumma infa`ni bima `allamtani wa `allamni ma yanfa`uni! (OH ALLAH! Make useful for me what You taught me and teach me knowledge that will be useful to me!

O Allah, I seek Your forgiveness for all my sins.

I ask You to forgive me for all my wrongdoings [mazalim] against people that You have recorded, for there are many rights [huquq] and dues [mazalim] owed to Your servants that I am burdened with and for which I am hostage [murtahin]. O Allah, even if these (wrongdoings) are many they are insignificant in comparison with the magnitude of Your forgiveness. O Allah, any male or female servant of Yours who has rights upon me, in either that I have unjustly taken from him [ghasabtu] in regards to his land, possession, honor, body; whether he was absent or present; or he or his representatives demanded it from me and neither was I able to return it to him nor did I seek release of it from him. So I ask You through Your benevolence, generosity, and abundance of what You possess that You satisfy them on my behalf, and not give them a position over me that will decrease my good deeds; for You possess what You can satisfy them with on my behalf and I do not possess what to satisfy them with; and do not allow for their bad deeds to find a path over my good deeds on the Day of Judgment.

May Allah bless us to serve Him in all aspects of our lives.

Wa Salaam Alaikum Waramotullahi Wabarakatuhu.
