Living as Muslim in Our Daily Lives

Bismillahi Rahman Raheem. All Praise is for Allah. We adore Him and seek His help and forgiveness. We have Faith and Trust in Him. We seek Allah’s refuge against evil tendencies of our Selves and our bad deeds. He whom Allah guides no one can lead him astray. And he whom Allah lets go astray there is none to guide him. We bear witness that there is no deity except Allah, the One and without any Partner; and we also bear witness that Muhammad (SAW) is His servant and Messenger, Allah had sent him with Truth, to give good tidings and to warn before the Doomsday. Whosoever obeys Allah and His Messenger will be successful and well guided. And whosoever disobeys either of them has gone astray. Such a person harms none save himself; he does no harm to Allah. The best Word is the Book of Allah. And the best Guidance is that given by Muhammad (SAW). Good things are the firm (original) ones, and Bad things are those introduced later on. And everything introduced later (in religion) is innovatio...

Successful Community

Successful Community Al-Furqan (The Criterion) Sura 25: Verse 20 (partial) "We have made some of you as trials for others. Will you have patience? For Allah is One Who see" (all things)." If wealth and property are amassed as a result of the capabilities and striving of the people, then some people amass lot of riches and some people get only the bare necessities. And this cannot be objected to. The question regarding misfortune and ungratefulness arise when these people live a life away from the society, when they are concerned only with meeting their own personal needs and for providing for their own pleasures and luxuries, when Allah has caused the people to live together, and has declared this togetherness of theirs, instead of differences in their circumstances, a severe trial for them. This provides a test for their faith and an opportunity for proving their worth. A community can be successful in this field of life only when the relationship among its individuals ...

Football:An Islamic Perspective

Image
The Egyptian public opinion has been totally absorbed for about 20 days in the African Cup of Nations matches and later in the celebrations following the Egyptian team winning the cup. This motivates us to discuss such a sensitive issue, i.e. the issue of the African Cup of nations or more accurately the issue of football from an Islamic perspective. But why this issue is sensitive? Football An Islamic Perspective,The answer is: It is sensitive because people went to one of two extremes thereon. Some people were fully enthusiastic and felt so joyful that they exceeded all proper limits. On the other hand, other people denied the whole matter viewing that celebrating such events is unlawful. They view that the Muslim Ummah is suffering great problems and it is thus improper to celebrate while many Muslims are slain all over the world. Actually, there is a great gab between the two extremes. As for us, we adopt a middle course between them, for, indeed, Islam is a moderate religion. In t...

Flee Back To The Quran

Affliction Al-Balad (The City) Sura 90: Verse 4 "Indeed, We have created man in affliction." No sooner does the first living cell settle in the mother's womb than it starts to encounter affliction and has to work hard in order to prepare for itself the right conditions for its survival, with the permission of its Lord. It continues to do so until it is ready for the process of birth, which is a great ordeal for both the mother and the baby. Before the baby finally sees the light it undergoes a great deal of pushing and squeezing to the point of near suffocation in its passage out of the womb. A stage of harder endurance and greater suffering follows. The newborn baby begins to breathe the air, which is a new experience. It opens its mouth and inflates its lungs for the first time with a cry which tells of the hard start. The digestive system and the blood circulation then start to function in a manner which is totally unfamiliar. Then it starts to empty its bowels, encoun...
